Nalgo Putting Matchplay Pairs Event Thursdays - open to all
A 7pm start Thursday evening weekly Putting contest between pairs of players over 18 holes.
The format is a doubles match play event.
All participants must either be a member the Nalgo Putting League, a guest of a putting league member attending with them at the event, or must join the Nalgo Sports & Leisure Club (the annual fee for that is £6.00 per person).
It is not a League based event, entries are week by week, played for fun. Pairs being drawn against each other on the night.
SCORING SYSTEM:
Each Pair shall keep their opponents score on the same card as their own.
The pair taking the fewest puts wins the hole, at the end of the round the pair winning the most holes win the match.
RULES OF PLAY:
The ‘Home’ pair shall putt first.
The Players must take alternate shots, when teeing off as well as during match.
Teeing off the ball must be placed within the white tee line; infringement means the shot must be replayed.
After both players have teed off, if for their second shot their opponents ball is infringing a shot to the hole, then a player can request that either:
a) the opponent plays first.
b) the opponent marks the ball and moves it 1 putter-face length, to allow their opponent to play, then replaces the ball to the original spot.
If a player fails to move an impeding ball and strikes his opponents ball, they shall concede the hole!
